Hi all, I have two issues: in preferences -> Removable Drives and Media Preferences I disabled everything and even removed the "nautilus --no-desktop burn:" line. But when I insert a blank DVD Nautilus still grabs it and displays the DVD icon on the Desktop called "Blank DVD-RW Disc". I don't know if this is related to my other problem: when I try to burn an iso image with e.g. K3B it doesn't work because K3B can't get an exclusive lock on the NEC 2510A DVD+/-RW drive. K3B's debugging output is: Devices ----------------------- _NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A 2.18 (/dev/hdc, ) at /media/cdrecorder [CD-R; CD-RW; CD-ROM; DVD-ROM; DVD-R; DVD-RW; DVD+R; DVD+RW] [DVD-ROM; DVD-R Sequential; DVD-RW Restricted Overwrite; DVD-RW Sequential; DVD+RW; DVD +R; DVD+R Double Layer; CD-ROM; CD-R; CD-RW] [SAO; TAO; RAW; RAW/R96R] System ----------------------- K3b Version: 0.11.23 KDE Version: 3.4.1-0.fc4.1 Red Hat QT Version: 3.3.4 Kernel: 2.6.12-1.1398_FC4 growisofs ----------------------- Executing 'builtin_dd if=/home/patrick/Downloads/0_CentOS/CentOS-4.1-i386-binDVD1/CentOS-4.1-i386-binDVD1.iso of=/dev/hdc obs=32k seek=0' /dev/hdc: "Current Write Speed" is 4.0x1385KBps. :-! In runlevel 1 & 3 it also does not work and I have also tried the last 3 kernels. Strangely I can burn the iso image fine with the command: cdrecord -v -dao <iso image> Now why would it work with cdrecord and not with growisofs? So does anyone have an idea how I can force Nautilus not to touch my DVD's ever when it's configured to not touch them? And how I can fix the problem with K3B/growisofs not working? Tips much appreciated! Regards, Patrick -- fedora-test-list mailing list fedora-test-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
