As long as you can initiate connections from behind the firewall - BT
will still work fine. The drawback being - the pool of machines you
can connect to is smaller (only those that have open ports for BT)

Currently I'm behind a firewall and I have:
download: 330 KB/s
upload:   550 KB/s
