The biggest problem would be the machine that can't boot the live iso on normal mode and hangs on basic video mode too.
How frequent is this? My test boxes can install on normal mode, I did not found a box that hangs on both modes.

The installation media, netinstaller and Live, on both UEFI and BIOS,
contains a boot menu with a Troubleshooting submenu, which contains a
boot entry to boot using Basic Video, and that in turn has the
nomodeset parameter already set.
