Just some information. I hope it helps.

I've tried out a couple of the recent drops (08/25 & 08/26) of Fedora 29 Workstation-Live. These were bare metal installs from DVD on a Lenovo M58. and The DVDs were checked with sha256sum -c beforehand The system booted okay from the DVD and the media test ran okay before the installation started.

Anaconda ran fine with all the expected options being presented. The target hardware disk was already full; so the make more space available option was selected. When the the window came up delete all was chosen following by reclaim space. After that the installation process was as expected with the live session starting normally. The restart was selected from the top right menu and the DVD was removed from the drive; so the system would boot from the freshly installed hard drive.

The boot proceeded normally with the wallpaper displayed and the top right menu displayed. However, the expected windows that should appear for language etc, and user name password. did not display. The top right menu shows a sub-menu choice for gnome-initial-setup, but the only item in that sub-menu is logout. I tried logging out and back in, but the resulting conditions were the same.

I have a small bit of experience running gbd when I helped with a gnome issue last year, but in this particular situation I don't know how to get started.

Please let me know if there is something else I can try or do to help.

	Have a Great Day!
