This is kinda a test issue. GNOME's update notification mechanism is
rather awkward to design an automated test for, and the version of the
test currently in production doesn't quite work to reliably ensure the
update notification will be triggered. I'm working on a fix for this on
staging ATM, but it's proving a bit tricky.

This currently actually looks to be failing due to a test issue
too...because ostree installs are quite fast and we made root password
typing quite slow, it seems like the test currently is getting back
from the ROOT PASSWORD spoke with the install process already
completed, and in that case the USER CREATION spoke link looks somewhat
different (it's greyed a bit rather than being black) and the needles
don't match. I'll fix that. I think the test would still fail later due
to
