Did you file a bug on this? I'm seeing it too on F24 on Dell M4600 hardware.

So I just woke the laptop up, external display lights up but the
laptop doesn't, and it's been automatically set to zero brightness not
by me. This is Fedora 24 so the zero brightness thing is still
happening. Should I file a bug? What component, and what to include?

I'm pretty sure the smoking gun is in this batch where I'm definitely
not the one setting the brightness to zero.
