Could you please verify the sddm user has his HOME set to /var/lib/sddm and has write access to the folder? OK..... I reinstalled Beta TC4 from the netinstall DVD and initially installed KDE. I then installed GNOME. On the login screen in the upper left it is always selected GNOME (Classic). If I select KDE and login I get a KDE session. If, however, I logout and login again without checking the box in the upper left I will get a GNOME Classic session. With kdm it remembers the last session type and I will get the last desktop environment unless I specify otherwise.
