So far BIOS in UEFI mode on this Laptop (ACER Aspire E 15 E5 -571G, I bought it 2 month ago) does not "see" this external disk. The reason can be the about 7 years old adapter. I can boot F21 Live CDs, also on USB stick in UEFI mode. So far I have the feeling that the UEFI branch of the bios in this laptop is optimized for Win 8, but currently I have no external SATA disk and "up to date" usb adapter to try out this. The external disk (Pata) contains only F21, installed via Live CD.
Kind Regards

I installed F20 to a USB stick and it is bootable via EFI. It should be the same for a USB hard drive. -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
