  being lazy, i just waited until there a newer no-debug kernel ready
to go, then just did "yum update" and booted that new kernel:

$ uname -r
3.15.0-0.rc0.git9.2.fc21.x86_64
$

and, yes, performance all around is *way* better -- browsing,
scrolling, libreoffice, etc. massive improvement.
