Just tried to come out of suspend mode from over the sabbath, and the system was hung. No response. So I powered off and rebooted. Nothing. Panic time; did I brick it? I unpluged the VGA and USB kydb/mouse connections to my Belkin KVM, repowered up, and it came up. Whew! But this is new behaviour. Always came out of suspend with the connection to the KVM, and the external monitor was properly working, in f17.
Other people are having suspend problems also. It's not working for me on my EFI Mac, nor is hibernate. It's borderline disqualifying to not have working suspend on a laptop for production use. I don't know how widespread this is or when it was last working, honestly.

Hibernate never worked on this Lenovo, with f17. In fact, before going to install f20 on a new drive, I decided to hibernate, instead of powering off. When the install failed the first time, I put the old drive back in and found that it would not boot at all. Something was corrupted in the failed attempt to hibernate. Note that prior to this the only time I 'hibernated' was when I was on battery and got the low power go into hibernate. Which always required a fresh boot to get the computer working.

Suspend always worked with f17, and worked relatively fast. Just close the system and shortly afterwards, I would hear the fan power off and the lights change to how I expect to see them while suspended. Resume from suspend worked fast as well. And if the KVM was plugged in, the external video came up right with the LCD forced to 4:3 instead of its native 16:9 mode.

Now with f20, suspend takes much longer. I worry about that, as I was in the habit of closing my notebook, dropping it in my backpack and boarding my plane. Now I worry if it will be still on and overheating.

And resume takes much longer. Before I could just type in my password and it would get it and pretty much come up unlocked. Now it takes a bit of trying moving the mouse around, hitting keys and such before I get to the unlock screen. And when it unlocks, the external VGA is back to the too big to show everything mode and I have to cycle through to get it working. This was the first time it hung on resume. But the first time suspending since fiddling with efibootmgr.

Resume is taking too long, and I don't even have sendmail running. ;)'
