Well, sometimes, there are situations, where there is no other way but
to resort to this kind of drastic language to have people comprehend
what they are proposing.
Johan's proposal is such kind of beyond reason and applicability, it's
not even worth being discussed.
I comprehend very well what I'm proposing ( given I've been on the same
side of the fence that reporters are for the last 5 years or more ) but
do you comprehend where we are heading?
You do know that atleast one desktop is going for supporting app bundles
right so we need to test that functionality downstream with us as well
as reporting that to relevant upstream.
So I think that you need to start thinking and speculating and asking
yourself where will we be in 5 - 10 years time yes there are people that
are responsive in bugzilla and do look at it from time to time but quite
frankly the majority ignores it.
To give you an example I added a simple requirement patch for ca 50
component ( making the component FPG compliant ) in July as an stage 1
for migration of relevant cron jobs ( which are not the ones on that
list ) to native systemd timer units( stage 2 being the actual migration
for the rest of the components ) and still after all the time that has
passed we got 24 open bugs with those patches just hanging there
