CUPS itself is mostly maintained by Apple. Your message doesn't make it
very clear whether it's actually CUPS you're praising, though, or
various other bits of the printing stack; there's rather more to it than
just CUPS.

Ew yuck! LOL You're saying that I just thanked, and gave kudos to, a closed bully - though also called a "flaky OS"? LOL I can't believe it! Suddenly I feel so dirty.

I thought CUPS was developed by the open source community; I was just setting up the printer and impressed that the program called up the commands itself, and thought one of us was responsible for making it so easy, even if at a lesser extent.
