Thanks for the reply, I may likely have needed them had I not figured out the solution; although Mr. Guomundsson's solution returned the following: $ pulseaudio E: [pulseaudio] pid.c: Daemon already running. E: [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed. $ pulseaudio -k && sleep 5 && pulseaudio -D E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Daemon startup failed. and I may have needed more information.
