Last night Noveau wedged itself again. The screen was frozen with no
response to
keyboard or mouse. Linux was still running and responded to the power
switch with
a flurry of disk activity. After hardware reset and reboot I uploaded
the report to
Bugzilla.
Since a timely resolution of the Noveau problem seems unlikely (other
than install Nvidia),
would it be possible to have the Power button force a Noveau reset
without crashing
the rest of Linux?
