Similar but not the same issues for me. Under KDE when closing the lid, system hibernates, on opening system comes back up and then immediately hibernates again. After pressing the power key the system finally comes up and is usable. Often somewhere in this process something will get hung and so a reboot becomes necessary. Haven't tried all the tricks you have tried though so I may give them a shot. -Erinn
