Actually I do. For nostalgia reasons, an IBM 1401 Autocoder Q two
pass assembler in brown Hollerith cards. No blank cards tho. They
used to make great note cards since they fit nicely in a shirt pocket.
Oh yes! I remember punched cards; my neighbors made very fine Christmas
wreathes out of them when I was a kid. I started my programming career
in 1981 just as the more modern shops were getting out of punched cards.
The experienced programmers in my first shop kept their card decks in
boxes. One of them demonstrated what a dropped deck was and then showed
me how to use an IBM card reader to sort the cards back in order again.
We also shared a mutual liking for the TV show The 3 Stooges.
