F17 Beta anaconda labels excluded/unformatted disks

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

It seems that F17 Beta anaconda writes disk labels to all disks, even
if they have been excluded in the disk selection screen and have not
been chosen for formatting in the Custom/Verify Partitioning screen.
At one point it even wanted to re-label a USB flash drive I had
inserted (not used to boot anaconda). This is a serious issue as it
can cause data loss unless you are paying attention to the warning
dialog that says what will be labeled/formatted. Has anyone else
noticed this?

A second problem I noticed is that anaconda gets stuck in an infinite
loop during labeling/formatting if there is an existing FreeBSD ZFS
GPT disk label on one of the disks (that should have been
excluded/left untouched).

I'll try to reproduce and report these issues to Bugzilla.
