I just went through the sizable list of F17 final blockers and found a
bunch of things that need to be tested. If you have some spare cycles
and/or are looking for stuff to test - please take a look at the bugs
and suggested tests below.
Forgot one other thing:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=816410
- LiveCDs written to USB using livecd-iso-to-disk aren't booting on
EFI machines
- Create a bootable USB using TC2 and the newest livecd-tools from
updates-testing on either F16 or F17
- See if the livecd boots on an EFI machine
Testing 05/01/2011 in f17 Gnome3 install to HD:
livecd-iso-to-disk --format --reset-mbr Fedora-17-TC2-x86_64-DVD.iso
/dev/sdb1
Only Boots legacy not EFI. (Contains a EFI folder)?
-GPT USB "LIVE" with Packages subdirectory containing 3343 rpms
-Note: It appears to use the DVD Install repo on USB ONLY IF --reset-mbr
is used
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=813905#c25 and #23:
17.10 does not create 2 partitions. Double check the version you think you are
using and make sure you use --format --reset-mbr to wipe the entire USB.
Make sure the iso you are using has anaconda-17.23-1 or later.
