grub2-install as multiboot target?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

So, if the trend of the future is to use the new grub2
multiboot stuff instead of chain loading, shouldn't there
be some way to tell grub2-install: "Hey, I want you
to install in this partition so I can make you a
multiboot target".

As near as I can tell, the way grub2-install works
now, you have to use the --force option to make it
try and use blocklists to install in a partition,
and that's the only option for installing in a
partition rather than the MBR.
