#277: Add ARM to release criteria / validation process somehow -----------------------+----------------------- Reporter: adamwill | Owner: adamwill Type: task | Status: new Priority: critical | Milestone: Fedora 17 Component: Wiki | Version: Resolution: | Keywords: arm Blocked By: | Blocking: -----------------------+----------------------- Comment (by jwboyer): Replying to [comment:3 adamwill]: > > James Laska started such an effort prior to leaving the QA team, but he never completed it. Honestly, I consider ARM substantially more important than PPC or s390x, and am trying to keep things simple by proposing we just deal with ARM rather than complicate matters with the other, less important secondary arches. Which is kind of a slap in the face, given that s390x and PPC are the only two secondary architectures that have 1) actually done a release in the past 2 or 3 years, 2) are the only two secondary architectures that are actually building for _current_ releases, and 3) are certainly no less relevant than ARM depending on your perspective. ARM is great, I'm sure ARM64 will be awesome, but I do think you're doing a disservice by focusing on something that doesn't exist instead of working with the teams that have already put forth great effort to participate in Fedora. -- Ticket URL: <https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-qa/ticket/277#comment:4> Fedora QA <http://fedorahosted.org/fedora-qa> Fedora Quality Assurance -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
