hey, folks. so we have a potential beta blocker in: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735866 but there's a couple of questions. so, the bug manifests itself as startup being slow, as 'udevadm settle', run by the 'udev-settle' service, fails to complete and times out after two minutes. But I found a possible more serious consequence: if you hit this bug, the live installer won't start up, because it also runs 'udevadm settle', and won't continue until it sees that command succeed - which, if you're hitting this bug, it seems like it never will. The bug seems to be not 100% reproducible: it occurs on some boots but doesn't on others. It seems to vary across systems, too. So, I need a couple of data points: 1) have you seen this bug booting F16 lives on your systems? If so, how often do you see it vs. not seeing it? 50/50? 30/70? 70/30? 90/10? 2) if you see the bug, can you confirm that on boots which are affected, the live installer will not run? thanks! -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Twitter: AdamW_Fedora | identi.ca: adamwfedora http://www.happyassassin.net -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
