My behavior was slightly different. Update downloaded lists and found what needed updating, and then just paused. I think I rebooted to clear whatever the update program was waiting for. I have two systems which are very similar and both are running Fedora 17 64bit Gnome. I wonder if the problem is somewhere other than selinux though.
