Fedora's php-syck still seems to come from the original syck tarball instead of php-pecl-syck, thus being utterly obsoleted. I'll file a bug report here right away. Actually the file permissions issue is a classic amongst developers working in heterogeneous environments as soon as the Redmond OS is involved. Btw. you can also use -perm /111 to get u+x,g+x,o+x.
