Thanks for opening the upstream PR!

ad 3), you can drop the "%py_provides" call as well.
It's only required if you want to tweak the automatic behaviour for backwards
compatibility, according to the docs:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Python/#_the_py_provides_macro

Other than that, looks good now. Package approved :stamp:
