I've decided to take a git snapshot as the development branch is very active. As well, right now two packages bundle cubeb: firefox and dolphin-emu. I maintain dolphin-emu, but I hope this can open a means to unbundle cubeb from firefox as well if this is practical. See RHBZ#1825485.
