pip is a package management system used to install and manage software packages

(PyPI). pip is a recursive acronym that can stand for either "Pip Installs
Packages" or "Pip Installs Python".

This is pip for legacy Python.

This is split off from the python-pip package. The build will be coordinated
with removing python2-pip from python-pip.
