Maybe take a look into my trojita.spec file [1] as a template how X could be faked in koji run with help from xvfb-run or call directly Xvfb. Another option is to patch the python test files to use python-xvfbwrapper [2] somehow to avoid the preassumption to have a running X, it would be cool if you poke upstream therefore.
