https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020292 Warren Togami <wtogami@xxxxxxxxx> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags|needinfo?(wtogami@xxxxxxxxx | |) | --- Comment #28 from Warren Togami <wtogami@xxxxxxxxx> --- http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/20130723-linux-distribution-packaging-and-bitcoin.md.asc This was a 2013 note on the hazards of consensus. This is not a mere hypothetical, paranoid concern. It consensus already broke once due to leveldb in early 2013, and things got close to horribly wrong due to unexpected behaviors or bugs in openssl. http://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-July/009697.html This is fixable and Fedora can feasibly ship Bitcoin safely. We just need to fully communicate the issues between upstream Bitcoin and FESCo and decide on what we can do together. More details forthcoming. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
