I think you should list concrete files/dirs. At least that is how I have always understood it. The ASL, which covers most of the code, can be handled by a blanket statement, something like: "All the code is licensed under ASL, except for ..." [!]: Package must own all directories that it creates. Note: Directories without known owners: /usr/share/xml, /usr/share/licenses Sorry, I missed this one previously... I think /usr/share/licenses should be owned by package filesystem, though.
