Ok, after going back and re-reading I understand what you're saying, but per:

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#AllCompatibility

When you use sources that are both GPLv3+ and LGPLv2+ the combined work is
covered under GPLv3+ which is the whole point of the "+".
