Snapshots correspond to an unstable development state; they can introduce some incompatibilities with previous releases, so updates may be hard to manage. Bugs must be also expected with new features introduced in development branches. You should stay in version 1.0.0... Unless a new release of vdr-tvguide is expected *very* soon, or you need some special features post-1.0.0 or security fixes which can't be backported.
