This message means that the URL is OK and downloadable. If it wouldn't, we would get an error message, for example: homerun.spec: I: checking-url http://download.kde.org/unstable/homerun/src/homerun-1.0.0.tar.bz2 (timeout 10 seconds) homerun.spec: W: invalid-url Source0: http://download.kde.org/unstable/homerun/src/homerun-1.0.0.tar.bz2 HTTP Error 404: Not Found The value should be a valid, public HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP URL. Regarding the VCS revision in the tarball name, I had a look at the older tarballs. Seems to be it is usual for the upstream developer to do so. Well, it would be better to avoid confusion by extracting the tarball to a folder with the same name, but we have this problem in a lot of other stuff, so we can go ahead with the current situation. Stay tuned for the final review. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
