Regarding i686 processors, I don't think there's anything that OpenColorIO upstream should do here. It's not really their problem that we're supporting i686 processors without SSE. They've already added support for disabling SSE (the -DOCIO_USE_SSE=OFF option), and now it's just the matter of using this in the Fedora build.
