In the new srpm to put the soname I remove: $(library): $(objs) $(AR) $(ARFLAGS) $@ $(objs) $(RANLIB) $@ from the Makefile of the libs and add $(library): $(objs) soname=`basename $@`.0 ; \ $(CC) -shared -o $@.tmp \ -Wl,--whole-archive,$<,--no-whole-archive \ -Wl,--soname,$$soname,-z,-defs $(objs) if readelf -d $@.tmp | fgrep -q TEXTREL; then exit 1; fi mv $@.tmp $@ ; ln $@ $@.0 but the produced libs lacks some symbols and the linking of further files fails. Unfortunately my knowledge of autotools is so poor that I don't really know where to go on from know... Any ideas?
