As someone who want to have Debian packaging toolchain on my Fedora box, I have no problem either just helping out, co-maintaining, or maintaining this package collection (po-debconf, dh-make, debhelper, dpkg, pbuilder, etc.) as kanarip/yourself would like -- whatever suites best.
