I fixed the pixmaps issue.
Concerning that question regarding access rights...
You are right, due to the permissions the tool has to be either run as root or
a rule has to be added to udev.
As I'm no fan of the adding-a-rule scenario, I'm wondering how to realize a
password request here. Any ideas?
