Re: Icon Pack

So... I looked at saving these as an svg. Turns out that they all need to be vectored so I'll have to import them to inkscape, vector them then save them as SVG. They have to be vectored by hand which means it'll take a little while to get everything right.

Let me know what you think of these ones though.

Also quick note: It's easy to change the color from Blue to something else. What colors would you like?

YEAH!

I got distracted with work. (I had two 15 hr days at work this week) but I'll fix those icons to brighten them today and lunch and email them out.

They're not meant strictly to be used function icons. They certainly can

I have them in GIMP and I can share that later on with others if you're
interested.

I agree in that they do look a little dirty. Lightening up that brushed
metal layer will be easy.

The PNG files are just something I picked arbitrarily to place in the
email. I can output them to virtually any icon/format.  I just thought
it might be best for throwing inline in an email.

Christopher - Thanks for the feedback on the drums. That is by far the
one I struggled with the most. I wanted a full drum kit and not just a
snare/single drum. Looking at the simple ones, it'd be difficult not to
copy the Rockband drum logo. I wanted to stay as far away from that as
possible. I also figured that even on the splash screen the images will
be 25-50% the size so most of that detail will be lost and I won't have
to worry about it. (similar to the strap buttons on the guitar). But
I'll try to mull it over and see if I can think of something else that
might get us where we need it.

-Everyone- I really appreciate the feedback! Great ideas/Input! Keep it
coming if you think of anything else.

Hi Brian,

thought I'd give your icons a run in ksplash and the multimedia menus.

If you want ideas for more icons, those that match the multimedia menu noes are a good start.

So far I'm not sure the icons lend themselves to the KDM ksplash theme in there current state, there is not much contrast with the current theme background, however, this may not be the case with the F18 wallpapers (whatever they turn out to be). Althoug you can pretty much guarantee there'll be a bit of blue in there ;)

All in all like em, and think there a good start. Thanks for the effort!
