Fedora Jam does not ship with a realtime patched kernel, although the
vanilla Fedora kernel is fine these days for most users. You can even
add the "threadirqs" kernel boot parameter to get threaded interrupt
request handlers (and install rtirq to tune your irq priorities). But if
you need it, you can get an rt patched kernel @ Planet CCRMA.
[just in case: the rt patches for the kernel have nothing to do with
running applications with rt priority which any kernel can do, and is
vital for Jack & friends]

We don't have a comps group or alternative repo but nearly everything
update in Fedora 18 should be in Fedora 17.
