Hi all, I just filed:

Fedora 17's jackd always starts in verbose mode (at least in my tests on
x86_64 - it also happens in other distros). There is an ongoing thread here:

This is linked to gcc 4.7.0 and the handling of the verbose flag in
jack's code. We should come up with a patch asap...
