Audacity

Hello everyone, especially those with interest in Audacity!

After sending this message, I will step back as "audacity" co-packager.

Recently I haven't found the motivation to stay up-to-date on Audacity
development and wxWidgets/GTK peculiarities. Partly because my usage of
Audacity has decreased - for several months I've used it only sporadically.
Partly because it's hard to keep track of known and unfixed race conditions,
problems with Port Audio and Pulse Audio, unreproducible crash bugs, and
neglecting the audacity-devel list only makes it worse. Also because it's
frustrating if bug reporters don't give any feedback on test updates in
several weeks, and no other Fedora users give feedback on test updates
either.

There still is the original package owner and a co-maintainer, but
I'd like to encourage everyone with interest in Audacity to contribute
a tiny bit and to consider signing up as Fedora packager or bugzapper.
This applies to Fedora packages in general. There are still too many
Fedora packages, which only have a single owner. I had hoped that
Audacity would be interesting enough for multiple people to build a
team of package maintainers - but apparently it isn't.
