I tried to figure out how to adjust to the new php version, but was only
able to find help with simple zval usage, but Maniadrive does some more
complicated stuff that I couldn't figure out how to adapt.

We could use a maintainer who is familiar with php to keep it in the
distribution. Otherwise it will be getting retired pretty soon.

Hey Bruno, just curious, any changes on this one? I could possibly try
to write something on the Fedora Community Blog highlighting this if it
would help bring some more exposure (or if you were up for it, you could
write something pretty short to explain the package better than I could). :)

We (mostly Sergio) got it to build, but it is still broken and we need someone who understands php to finish the php 5 to php 7 conversion. The package is still orphaned and will get removed in about a month if it doesn't get fixed.

Unfortunately, I don't know PHP at all, else I'd volunteer to take a look.

Perhaps we could try pinging the PHP SIG, if you haven't already?
