Smells a bit like the old "shortest name wins" behaviour of Yum when
multiple packages provide the same thing. Because mikmod in Core still
provides "tracker", non-versioned, and "mikmod" is 6 characters, "tracker"
is 7 characters.

Using non-versioned Provides to create virtual packages is evil.
