There is some concern over the future status of the Mono stack in Fedora, given the Novell-Microsoft agreement. Developers who like C# as a language might be interested in exploring this new 'language', Vala: http://vala.paldo.org. Vala is a language with C#-like syntax, built around GObject. The compiler generates C code that can then be compiled against the standard GNOME libraries as usual. One of the text editors for GNOME, Scratchpad, has already been ported from C# to Vala: http://dborg.wordpress.com/2006/09/27/scratchpad-meets-vala/ If you're interested, please take the time and review the Vala package for Fedora Extras: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=214227 Many thanks, -- Michel Salim Don't worry about avoiding temptation -- as you grow older, it starts avoiding you. -- The Old Farmer's Almanac -- fedora-extras-list mailing list fedora-extras-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-extras-list
