Yes -- a poor choice of words on my part. Best as in "it works when
other things fail" not best as in "best practice".  I think my update of
the wiki was okay, though.

One thing... I haven't checked any of the other packages that require
setting LIBTOOL so I don't know if the first recomendation "export
LIBTOOL=libtool" is extraneous or not.
