Hi,
my name is Mirek and I would like to help further improve the OS of my choice (Fedora :o)). I have never been a talented coder, so the documentation is one of options to contribute. I would like to start with SELinux and Security Guide for Fedora - especially the first mentioned is very similar to the guide for RHEL and I've already made some updates to it. In my first steps I will often use the help of my experienced mate Petr Kovář.
Hi Mirek, glad to see you here :)
Getting someone to update our security documentation would definitely be
great - especially the Security Guide, we haven't published that one
since Fedora 19, so help with that would be greatly appreciated. Fedora
24 should come out tomorrow, so you have roughly half a year to get
guides up to date - or, of course, you could work on getting something
ready for F24 and we can publish it when you're done. Depends on you.
We have regular meetings every Monday at 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST) in
#fedora-meeting on FreeNode, so feel free to come and say hi. Our
esteemed Great Leader (randomuser) also holds office hours every
Thursday at 19:00 UTC. Or just come talk anytime in #fedora-docs on the
same server and we'll help you get set up with stuff like repo access.
Good luck!
Petr
