If we want to go in this direction, I would encourage us to adopt the approach of the php manual (as I understand it). Non-core maintainers add notes to pages. Those notes are periodically reviewed and incorporated into the main manual. At that point the notes disappear. I don’t work with that project, but I’d love to know more about how their process works if someone knows. I’ve done a bit more reading and found that a lot of information is at http://doc.php.net/tutorial/ They work in docbook and have their own docbook processing engine. I don’t know that it is perfect, but is may be worth reading up on their processes. regards, bex
