However, it is my experience and belief that if you don’t have a strong community wiki-garderners it falls apart quickly. If we want to go in this direction, I would encourage us to adopt the approach of the php manual (as I understand it). Non-core maintainers add notes to pages. Those notes are periodically reviewed and incorporated into the main manual. At that point the notes disappear.
