Since we are now in Beats Season, I'd like to get things moving on Badges for contributing to Beats. We have an open ticket for this[1] but not really a consensus on how to award badges: 1) A unique badge of each release contributed to. Perhaps the greatest incentive for writers, but also the greatest burden in creating badges. 2) Cumulative beats covered. Much easier to actually accomplish, because of the greatly reduced burden in new badge tickets. Higher burden in assignment; someone will have to keep a running total. Either way, badges would be manually assigned. Can we pick one of these approaches?
