* Company, School, or other affiliation: Currently I work at FEDEX (Federal Express, www.fedex.com) as a Senior Telecom Specialist, managing the WAN network, routers programming, servers management (inclulding RedHat servers), and applications development. I have intermediate-to-high expertise level in Application Development in PHP+MySQL, Linux, and Apache. I also manage Network services like DNS, DHCP, Samba, and others

         o What do you want to write about?

I want to collaborate as a doc translator in the FedoraProject, since my English is Fluently, with a TOEIC value of 85.0

         o Anything else you'd like to do?

I can collaborate openly in research, testings, docs translating, manual/white paper/job aids creation/edition, and websites management.


   * Historical qualifications
         o What other projects or writing have you worked on in the past?

I've worked in Hundreds of Systems Development for over 20 years. Most recently, I've written Open Source applications, like a Thesaurus of Public Domain for the Home-Building Institute, part of the National Government. This is my first time working in a project such Fedora.


         o What level and type of computer skills do you have?

I have 21 years of experience in computer science as a Systems Engineer (Bachelor Degree). I started as a Developer, working in many languages from GWBasic and Pascal, until PHP and Visual Basic. I'm a project leader, and a research engineer. I speak both English and Spanish languages fluently.

o What other skills do you have that might be applicable? User interface design, other so-called soft skills (people skills), programming, etc.

I have Programming Skills in PHP and Visual Basic, MySQL DB Management and design, Websites Setup and maintenance, etc.


         o What makes you an excellent match for the project?

I've been a Linux Enthusiast since its beginning, and I feel I have the skills necessary to collaborate in such project, which benefits the whole humankind.
