As a result, the kbd driver is not loaded automatically if no xorg.conf is present. This combines with the F9 patch to disable evdev keyboards - resulting in no keyboard being available. As said before, xorg-x11-server-1.5.0-2.fc9 reverts the upstream change and kbd is now loaded automatically unless explicitly specified otherwise.
